Ten Greatest Bands



This week's Ten on Tuesday was hard to narrow down but here's my posted early list. I've been sitting on this for a week. Ready to get it out there. :)



      You can totally tell what generation I come from.

    1. Bon Jovi


    2. Beatles


    3. Duran Duran


    4. Van Halen


    5. Journey


    6. Aerosmith


    7. U2


    8. Guns N Roses


    9. Eagles


    10. The GoGo's

    contenders that I wanted on my list: Def Leppard, Poison, BeeGees, Police, Motley Crue, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cars, Chicago, The Monkees.....I'll stop now

    3 current bands I think may have Great Band written all over them generations to come: The Fray, Nickelback, and Maroon 5. Time will tell if I'm right or not.

      All great bands! I thought we would have identical lists, but there are some differences (how could you leave off the Stones?). I totally agree with you about the up-and-comings. Just too new to make the "All Time" list yet.

      I'm with you on Maroon 5 re: up and coming. I'm going to have to say that I'm glad you managed to leave the BeeGees off your main list 'cause otherwise I couldn't come visit your blog again. (BTW, Bubba's Sis very nicely sent people your way with her list.)

      Now, Bubba's Sis, I told you that I'm not a fan of the Stones. You've made me out myself! I only love Paint it Black and I'm mildly fond of Satisfaction. I agree that they are probably considered one of the greatest bands, just not one on MY list. ;)

      i agree what about the stones? u have Zepplin and Sabbath (no i do not like but respect fo rwhat they did) KISS! Id rather vote the Bangles than GOGO's. I am surprised you didnt pick REM. i know someone who is dissapointed with you. my fav Niravana. any band that can change the indsustry is great in my book. thye did do that. id put U@ further up the list also

      Aw,shoot. I truly forgot about Nirvana. Yeah, I kinda forgot about rem too. And, um, Air Supply too. Well, I thought about them once. What can I do? I only had 10 spots!

      Excellent list! And I also love Maroon 5 but I forgot to put them on! Duran Duran was super close for me, but they got cut at the last minute!
