Heard At My House Re: Dinner

Um, this tastes like chicken fried steak with an aftertaste.
Yeah! That's what it tastes like. School chicken fried steak.
I had chicken fried steak at school once. It tasted better than this.
I still taste it in my mouth!!!!!!!

Sigh. My poor family. They really drew the short end of the stick when it comes to my preparing, cooking, feeding them great meals. It really did taste bad. And, no, it wasn't chicken fried steak.

LOL! You know that's how it is at my house, too!

So, what was it?!?

It wasn't your cooking, it was the product that was cooked. That's what happens when we try to save money and get the off brand stuff. I guess the old saying is true. You get what you pay for. I'm still tasting it.

Yes, do spill. What was the mystery meat?

The mystery meat was meatloaf. Or, rather, it was supposed to be meatloaf. Bleck!

HA! I hear ya...After Gremlin took a bite of dinner last night he looked at me and said, "Mom, this chicken is pink, so I'm NOT eating it...I'll take pork thank you." "Gremlin, it's ham!"

I'm a good cook, not a great cook. My family usually likes what I fix, and if they don't... they can always pop a Hot Pocket into the microwave.
I wish I was a great cook like some of my aunties.
I'd be big as a house if I could cook like they do.
Your family will survive even if some of your meals are not really yummy. They LOVE you!!
