Sincerely 'Fro Me to You

I do not put scissors to my head nor my daughter's and this is why. Bang trims gone B.A.D.What is really embarrassing is that I had NO idea one side of my bangs was shorter than the other until I saw this picture. Yikes. Big D was horrified when he saw what I did to our daughter's bangs. I did it the day before we went on vacation to visit his parents in Montana.

We won't get into what I did to my mom's hair when my best friend & I were bored one day...

Oh no! I give bad haircuts too. When our son was young, I'd often have to just give him a buzz cut! :)

Come see my our toobing adventure!

That is TOO hilarious. My daughter is 7, and we are still growing out a small section of her hair that she cut last year! She's not put the scissors near her hair since.

Cute photos!

I love the look Lamb has on her face - like, "What the hell have you done to me, Woman?"

Ha ha! That was always a mantra at our house...."Never ever ever ever ever ever ever cut your own hair!" Yeah, Navy Son did it anyway. Sigh.

My mom cut my bangs once... Sad very sad!

I was a bang cutter. It's a sad inherited skill.

Thanks for sharing----too funny!

See, that is why I am terrified to cut my kids hair. My hubby keeps suggesting to me that I cut his hair and the kids hair to save us money... I warn him that it would so not be worth it! You are a brave woman for trying!

I feel your pain. When my daughter was about two, I decided to trim her bangs. Let's just say that when the hairdresser saw it, she said "Don't ever do that again. If you're broke, I'll cut if for free!"

And I never did.

LOL, I guess that's why you have to go to school to cut hair professionally! I have never tried to cut anyone's hair, and I don't think I ever will! :)

My sweet grandma was the one who hacked at our bangs. And they were ALWAYS crooked. ALWAYS. God bless her!

I tried that once and my hairdresser said if I ever tried that again she was gonna get me. So I stopped trying to cut my own bangs or my kids. :)

Hello Bang Whacker! Cute photos! I did that to my kiddo too and cut the bangs WAY too thick. Took YEARS to grow them out!

It's really bad when you cut your sweet little, handsome son's hair thinking, oh yah I can do this, and you end up giving him bangs! I learned my lesson long ago to never cut my family's hair.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Jerri's Journey. Those hats you were telling me about sound hilarious. Do you have a picture of them wearing them? I'm thinking it would be a great 'Fro post!

btw, what is a Coastie?

I don't cut hair either. The only time I ever cut bangs for myself was between senior year of high school and freshman year of college. I thought you held them down to cut them... they were REALLY short! My college ID was just embarrassing!

Ha ha! I cut my oldest daughter's bangs ONCE. After she spent three months with a mullet, I took the same anti-scissor vow you did. I actually tried to give myself a full-on haircut in 10th grade. Needless to say, I was whisked away to the hair dresser within minutes of my mom discovering my new 'do.

Don't feel bad about the haircut! I blogged about my bad haircut at Fantastic Sam's about a month ago. I've been trying to even up my bangs ever since.

I really am going to have to check out the Twilight series my daughters are so crazy about. I'll let you know how they like the party tonight.

Hehehehe, yeah - I've been there and done that. I ALWAYS ended up cutting my bangs too short and the result was I looked like a complete moron. hehe

Been there and have done that! But I do still cut my sons hair.
