Sincerely 'Fro Me to You - Scary Edition

This isn't quite how I wanted to do my scary post. Unfortunately, my computer with all my pictures and the scanner is under the weather right now. Luckily, I found this gem of a picture stored in my husband's laptop.
Before you start getting all warm and fuzzy seeing my boy show my mom how the Advent Calendar works, I think you should know this picture was taken in MARCH (2001)! Yes, March! I'm ashamed to admit that my decorations were still up. Pretty scary, huh? And, it's a fake picture. My mom was wanting to send some pics to a friend, but she didn't want a whole bunch taken at the same time. So, lucky for her it still looked like Christmas at my home!

I love the way her faced is blurred. Please tell me you don't keep your icicle lights up year round! ;-)

Around where I grew up, it was normal to have Christmas decorations up year round. Man my neighbors were some tacky people too. It was never tasteful!

Now were all the decorations still out, or was this one of those that kinda fly under the radar undetected? We always have those that we finally spot around May.

wait a minute ... you mean March is considered LATE? (Kidding. I'm kidding, y'all.) March is definitely scary. Now, if you had said February, I'd be all, "what's the problem?"

That's funny! I still have white lights on a tree by our tv that were put up at Christmas! I read your post about the insurance adjuster finally coming. You'd think they would quadruple the adjusters to come into hard hit areas! Hope all is well with you guys.
Take care,
Julie

Nice to know there's another person out there who has left up decorations beloved by her children long past the "expiration" date.

I got ya beat. One year on Good Friday (you know, right before EASTER), our house got broken into. The policemen were looking all around and stopped to ponder the sadly shriveled brown tree still dripping decorations. I told them the thieves must've drug it into our house in exchange for the X-box they took, but I don't think they believed me. :)

That's funny and scary. For me, it's the Halloween decorations I never take down. Christmas is removed before the New Year hits.

Hope everyone is having a very Happy Halloween and a Blessed Samhain!

SCARY!
And cute.

It may be 10:40 p.m., but it's still Halloween, so...

Happy Halloween!!!!!
I hope you indulged in lots of candy and chocolate!
I must admit that I overdid it on the chocolate.

:-)
