Photo Hunt - Strings
When Lamb was in 5th grade, we asked her if she wanted to take piano lessons. She declined our offer and asked if she could take violin lessons instead. Not to be outdone, Bear asked for a guitar.
The man my mom was dating at the time said that he'd love to give Lamb the violin & Bear the guitar for Christmas. He could get a deal on them through his job. Fine by us!
Violin lessons? Yes. Guitar lessons? Not yet.

How adorable! That guitar is nearly as big if it isn't as Bear, lol. Have a wonderful weekend, D, I sure wish I could be down there with you and B/S slamming down pie. I'd bring the DD coffee, of course. xoxo
good one for "strings"! Haven't found mine yet, but DH does have 5 guitars haning on the wall in his office! ;)

Oh I loved hearing Lamb play the violin! She was good!
Bear is looking very Johnny Cash in that picture, BTW.
Adorable picture! Looks retro.
Every kid should try at least one instrument.
Both my kids had piano lessons and trumpet lessons.
My son went on to have guitar lessons, and that turned out to be his passion. He is a rock playin' maniac!
Courtney still dabbles on the piano, but she found interest in computer graphics, then film and photography.
Keep letting your kids dabble in this and that until they find those things that completely capture their attention. It's great to see kids find what they love and then excel.
Play on children, play on!
Bear just needs Pappy around so he could teach him how to play the guitar!! Wouldn't that be neat!?! Nat took violin lessons for a while, but not really interested, but Pappy taught her how to play Silent Night and we did a special at church one Christmas... now she wants to do You Raise Me Up.....Wouldn't it be neat for Lamb and Nat do a duet??

I love it! Just love it! A Johnny Cash in the making, eh? And Lamb with that beautiful, happy face - she's such a doll.
That's a nice picture. Violin lesson what a great thing
Looks like you didn't have to go far to find a photo for this theme! Great pix!
Nice take on the theme! I used a different look at it. :)
Thanks for the visit to my blog.
