10 Things I Don't Like About My Job

I work in education and I actually love my job. It's not a bad gig since I have to work. I love what I do, I love the kids, I love most of the teachers/staff, and I love my vacation plan. However, as with everything, there are some down-sides to it. Here are 10 Things I Don't Like About My Job:

  1. Getting up early/going to bed 'early'
  2. Very little money
  3. Work place politics
  4. Having no say in my schedule
  5. Long faculty meetings
  6. Punching a 'clock' this coming school year
  7. Working full-time & being a 'single mom' in the evenings since hubby works nights
  8. Not living close enough to come home for lunch
  9. Thinking of interesting things to bring for lunch
  10. TESTS, TESTS, TESTS

Ok, so very little of that actually had to do with my JOB. Like I said, I love it.

it is very important to love what you are doing. if this blog came easy for you to fill out then you need a new job. there is only 3 things i do not like about my job right now.

1. away from th eones i love
2. the politics
3. the cry babies

but i do love this other wise i would get out. my other job is a different story. i do not think i could think of 10 good things to say about it. but i am doomed. in the industry that i am in i have never seen a good company to work for. all th egood bosses leave for better things. and forget where they came from. i am to old and in debt to change careers. thank God i do have a job that i love to help things out.

Yes, it is important to love your job, especially if it takes you far from home.

Big D is in the same boat as you. He hates working for the type of company he works for yet he's been there for so long. Plus he makes more than he could if he switched careers. And, of course, he hates working nights.

However, you are not too old! You are never too old to find what you love to do. Now, the debt part is a different story. Never feel too old to do anything!!

Coastie Bro, your job complaints could be every person's job complaints - keeps them away from the ones they love too much (not like you, but still..), politics and crybabies! That's totally my hubby's job, too!

Happy Back-to-Work for you tomorrow, USO Girl - it's gonna be a great year!

D, I did NOT know this about you. Wow, I can completely relate to #7, my husband teaches part time at night after his day job. Stinks, I know, but it's when I get most of my bloggin done! xoxo
